Project Description
Rotary Club of Gongabu President Rtn Raja Ram Phuyal joined a delegation comprising office bearers from different Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs and travelled from Kathmandu to Paiyun on Poush 15 to formally hand over the toilets.
RC Gongabu contributed Rs 30,000/- for one toilet.
The handover program was attended by local elected representatives, mothers’ groups, social workers, and beneficiary families. Previously, Rotary had also constructed and handed over 20 toilets in Wards No. 5 and 6 of the same rural municipality last year.
During the handover ceremony, the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, ward representatives, and local social workers of the rural municipality expressed their appreciation, stating that Rotary’s contribution to community development has been invaluable. They also expressed confidence that Rotary will continue to play a constructive role in serving the community in the days ahead. Addressing the program, the presidents of the participating Rotary Clubs reaffirmed their commitment to continue serving the community by contributing their time, resources, and capacity to the best of their ability.
The delegation from Kathmandu was warmly welcomed and honored by local mothers’ groups and ward offices with traditional cultural performances and musical processions. Each toilet was constructed at a cost of NPR 30,000, with financial support provided by various Rotary Clubs, Inner Wheel Clubs, and individual Rotarians.
